Board of Trustees
Merrick Academy is guided by a dedicated Board of Trustees that provides strategic leadership, fiscal oversight, and accountability to ensure the success and sustainability of our school.
Join us for our Monthly Board Meetings, held on the last Tuesday of each month, where we discuss important topics related to school governance, policy decisions, important updates, and the overall direction of our school community. These meetings are open to the public, providing an opportunity for families, staff, and stakeholders to stay informed and engaged in the decision making process. Meeting agendas, minutes, and upcoming dates can be found on the Merrick Academy Board Public Portal, ensuring transparency and open communication between the school and our community. We value your input, and encourage you to participate as we work together for the success of our students.

State Budget Reporting Survey
If you have any questions, please contact Rael Jones, our Chief Operating Officer at rjones@merrickacademy.org.
As a local educational agency (LEA) in New York State, we are required by Education Law changes in the 2022-23 enacted State budget, to post on our website and to submit to the State Education Department – on or before July 1, 2022 – an updated plan on how our LEA will expend the American Rescue Plan (ARP) – Elementary & Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funding that we have received, and how our LEA will prioritize spending on non-recurring expenses.
Our LEA seeks public comment from our parents, teachers and other stakeholders by June 28, 2022 on how our LEA has prioritized spending on non-recurring expenses. Please forward comments to the following email address: familyfeedback@merrickacademy.org. To review our planned spending, please download our ARP-ESSER Application and our ARP-ESSER Budget Narrative.
